Quick Chili Recipe

Chili is the ultimate comfort food. Whether you’re having a cozy night in or looking for something quick and easy, this chili recipe will satisfy your cravings!

Gather Your Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef – 1 can kidney bean – 1 can diced tomatoe – 1 onion, chopped – 2 cloves garlic, minced – 1 tbsp chili powder – 1 tsp cumin – Salt and pepper to taste

Cook the Ground Beef

Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Break the meat into small pieces while cooking.

Add Onions and Garlic

Once the beef is browned, add chopped onions and minced garlic to the pot. Sauté for about 3 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent.

Season the Mixture

Stir in chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. These spices bring that warm, smoky flavor to your chili. Stir everything well to coat the meat and onions.

Add Tomatoes and Beans

Pour in the diced tomatoes and kidney beans (drained and rinsed). Stir everything together and bring it to a simmer.

Let It Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let your chili simmer for 10-15 minutes. This allows the flavors to blend and deepen. If the chili looks too thick, add a splash of water or broth.

Check the Flavor

Taste your chili and adjust the seasoning. Add more salt, pepper, or chili powder if necessary.

Serve the Chili

Ladle your delicious chili into bowls. Top with shredded cheese, sour cream, or fresh cilantro if you like. Serve with crusty bread or tortilla chips for a complete meal.

Pro Tip for Perfect Chili

If you prefer a thicker chili, mash some of the beans with a fork.
